How did you feel the day before labor or even the day of?

I want to hear your stories and your experiences. Did you feel completely normal that day, did you feel fine and then it was like a switch? Did you have a feeling that day was the day? Let’s hear those stories! 😊

All I remember was being scared, happy, nervous, and  worried. I was having contractions and a lot of pain in my stomach the day before my son came. I went into the hospital really worried something was wrong because I was strep b positive, epileptic, and diabetic. When they checked I wasn't dialed but he was having health issues so they kept me. I was only in labor for 15 hours and as soon as he broke my water at 3:30am on November 21, 2021 it was quick. By 11:48am I was holding my son for the first time.

I had no clue when I was in labor honestly. Went out for burgers and milkshakes, so my stomach did not feel great but I thought it was from too much greasy food. Looking back I was super irritable and could not control my emotions. I blew up at my husband and had him sleep on the couch lol, but I just kept tossing and turning and feeling mad about nothing. Finally at 3 am I went to wake him up because I was annoyed I couldn’t sleep and he was. He insisted that we go to the hospital because he could tell I wasn’t myself, and I was so annoyed…but I went and was 6 cm dilated when I got there. I was shocked 😂

Honestly, I had this idea of how terrible labor and contractions were, so I didn't think I was having contractions because they weren't "that" bad. I felt her moving more than normal, very very low. My friend actually was the one who started timing me because I was talking through them and everything so I was honestly convinced they were Braxton Hicks. I jumped from like 12 mins apart to 4 min apart and ended up 7 cm dilated by the time I got admitted to the hospital. Never bled, water didn't break... I felt completely normal except for what I thought was her moving a bit more than normal and my appetite was a bit off. I kept saying "she's having a party in there"... turns out it was active labor 🤣

Day before I had the worst PMS of my life! Was angry, crying, depressed the whole day. Next morning my water broke. 😜

I felt normal. I took castor oil with a coke and went walking earlier that afternoon/evening. Later that night around 9-9:30pm started having contractions when I just getting comfortable in bed My stomach would get real right but it was painful. I passed my mucous plug. I sound my mom and she agreed. I didn’t go to to hospital right away. I just was walking around and squatting because I know the hospital would send me back home if I wasn’t dilated so I try to help the natural process. We (me and my mom) headed to the hospital about 3.5 hours later. I stop at Walmart to get a disposable camera lol. And I drove half of the way there because my mom was driving slower than my liking 😅. I wasn’t in pain so I was good. This was almost 11 years ago with my daughter. 
My son-I went in because I was having some headaches and I was experiencing some swelling. I was negative for preeclampsia but the doctor didn’t like my BP so he admitted me and induced me just in case I would develop it. I also was dilating with him.
* I declined the wheelchair at the hospital with both my children to help the progression

I felt as normal as one could be at 40 weeks 4 days and a FTM. I went to bed nervous because the next day I was scheduled to be induced at 9pm. I really didn’t want to be induced, but I was also really over being pregnant. Woke up to get ready for the day and my pelvis felt more uncomfortable and I had some cramping. I brushed it off as Braxton Hicks since this was the first time there was any sort of sign that labor might be near (I didn’t lose any of my mucus plug, there wasn’t any bleeding and didn’t have any cramping or contractions). My husband was watching me get ready and said “I think you are in labor.” I kept telling him I wasn’t, but an hour and a half later I realized he was right. So instead of being induced at 9pm I was getting an epidural.

I felt completely normal until I felt what I thought was discharge at the time. So I went to the restroom and wiped and it was part of my bloody mucous plug. 20 or so minutes later I started getting light contractions that definitely picked up.

Honestly after my water broke I was scared, I didn’t believe that I could have a baby come out of me lol
