I recently returned to work. My child had drank from bottles when they were first born but after correcting latch issues we were able to EBF (with a nipple shield) for the remainder of my FMLA. A few weeks before FMLA ended I attempted to reintroduce the bottle with expressed breast milk. My child refused to drink. I have tried different temperatures, bottles, nipples, and caregivers. Today was the first full day away and they refused to eat for 10 hours straight. They would sometimes let the bottle sit in their mouth but would then let the milk drip/drool out of their mouth. What can I do to get them to eat while I’m away at work?
