Question: I know someone who is fostering a child and has fostered this child since they were an infant. There was a period of time where it seemed the child may go back to family but that doesn’t appear to be an option now and the child will be adopted. The foster parents do not want to adopt because they are older and strictly foster with the hopes of family reunification. Would my spouse and I be able to adopt this child? We have know them since they were an infant and it seems right to keep them around the only people they know, if possible. Thanks!
