Hubs did. But after calculating bills and gas cost it was well worth it. Id say consider your goals and quality of life. Consider your start time and end time as well.

Yep, for me it was worth it. Significantly higher pay in the city but I want to live in the suburbs in a single family with a yard for my kids and not pay for private school too

We live in a small town about 90 minutes away from the capital, which is where a lot of people from our area work since the cost of living on the outskirts of a city are so much cheaper. It’s well worth travelling the 90 mins in the morning and again at night to make a better living in the city but have a cheaper mortgage/more land. And since covid almost everyone works from home now anyway so that worked out well lol but yes if the pay is good enough for a job you enjoy, 40 minutes isn’t bad at all!

I used to drive between 40 min to an hour each way depending on rush hour and it was hell honestly. I wouldn’t want to do that again if I could help it.

I get up at 415 for work, so for me, nope lol but I guess it really depends on what/how much/traffic in the evening etc.
