So just left our 18 month old doctors visit and feeling kind of bummed . The doctor told me she should be saying 40-50 words at this stage. She is only saying maybe 8 words . She understands everything I tell her and communicated with pointing . She also babbles a lot with different intonations and expressions . I speak to her in Spanish and my husband in Polish and when we are together we talk English . The doctor said that doesn’t make a difference. He said we should consider speech therapy in the few months if her vocabulary doesn’t increase .

Can you all tell me how many words your kids are saying especially the multilingual ones . Thank you !
