Yes, and it was such a waste of time. We went right around age 1 because our pediatrician suggested that all children go by age one. I swear the dentist looked in his mouth and told me how many teeth he had. I get the idea of getting them used to going but I won’t be back until after all his teeth are in.

Our pediatrician’s MIL is a pediatric dentist and he told us not to bother until our kids are 4 if we have a family history of good teeth. My husband had a talk with his own dentist when he went for a cleaning last month and the dentist said the same thing; the most they do is count the kid’s teeth 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes and he did great surprisingly! I took him when he turned 12 months. I had set it up all the day before that we were gonna go to the dentist and he wasn’t too sure what I was talking about but I hyped him up enough…and then it took like 2 seconds practically when we finally got back in the office. I just held him in my lap and the dentist had his legs and I helped him stay calm and held him down. He checked his teeth, brushed his teeth and bam we were done. And then he got a new toothbrush and toothpaste and he was so excited. Whole way home he was saying goodie! Just holding his bag and smiling so hard. We’re about to go back for his next check up and he already is excited about it when I brought it up!

Yes only because she fell and chipped one of her front teeth. Otherwise her dentist said no need until after 3 years old to go regularly.
