Contractions averaging 5 and a half minutes apart for 3 hours and then nothing?!

Yesterday morning at around 7:30 I started having cramping and contractions averaging out to 5 and a half minutes apart. But after about 2-2.5 hours they completely stopped.🙁 What does this mean?

Happened to me last night! For like 3 hours with barely uncomfortable contractions and then they faded away. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen every night til baby is here lol
