External skin tag from hemorrhoids

Has anyone had extra skin left over from hemorrhoids removed after pregnancy? What did you doctor do? After I had my daughter I was in an extreme amount of pain and my OB basically told me 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s life and I have to live with it. Come to find out I had a HUGE external hemorrhoid that left a lot of extra skin. It’s since gone but the skin chafes and get irritated from rubbing between my cheeks (tmi I’m sorry). I’m extremely regular and don’t get constipated so I know it’s from the pregnancy.

Do I meet with a gastroenterologist to have it removed?
