Csection with my first, vbac with my second. Even with a tear and a vacuum assisted birth i would have a vaginal birth 1000x again before i ever chose another csection

Haven't had a c section but risks are lower with vaginal birth and the healing is a lot faster if it isn't a complicated vaginal birth.

💯vaginal. Recovery is a million times better/faster, you get that skin to skin bonding time immediately with baby (not off in a surgery recovery room), less potential complications (not a major surgery), babies get the fluid squeezed out of their lungs vaginally, breastfeeding seemed easier. Everything. Also, after a C-section you can’t lift more than 10 lbs and, if you have a toddler or other children, how do you avoid that?

I've had both a csection first and VBAC second. 1000% times over I would choose a vaginal delivery even with a 2nd degree tear. I did get an epidural though. I was back up and ready to workout just a few weeks after the VBAC as opposed to 3 months (really more like 9 months) before I felt ready to workout with my c-section.

I haven’t had both but I’ve had a c section. I was/am trying for a vbac but have a c section scheduled. A few obstacles have been thrown my way with vbac process so I’ve opted for a repeat c section if I haven’t gone into labor Tuesday. My first labor was awful and ended in a c section. But I’ll be honest, my recovery wasn’t that bad. I made sure to take my pain medicine every 12 hours like i was supposed to. The hardest part was walking for the first time and going to the bathroom. I wasn’t in extreme pain but I could feel some pain. I really was upset about not having a vbac this time but I’m in so much pain from this pregnancy and with the events happening a c section is just the best option. If I go into labor by Tuesday then great but if not a c section it is.
