When did your baby get their first tooth?

Just wondering as FTM when your baby started getting their first tooth. Anything to help with teething pain?

Hi, pediatric dental hygienist here! Average age for first tooth to erupt is around 6 months of age. With that being said, some babies may be before or after that time frame and that’s okay too. Girls are typically more advanced developmentally than boys. 
My sons first tooth was at almost 9 months 🦷

First tooth at 8 months. Honestly he didn’t really seem bothered by the pain, other than he did like teether toys a little more around the time his teeth came in and he would try to chew his pacifier instead of suck it haha

My 2nd had 3 teeth by 4m he's 14 months now and has 8 out and every other tooth and molars are breaking through now he'll have every tooth out shortly

My babe got his first tooth right at the 6 month mark and now has another than just broke through and he will be 7 months next week.

Gosh each kid is so different. My kids are early teethers, my girl had her first tooth at 4 months and my boy just got his first tooth one day before his 5 month birthday. Lol. But my best friends little girl didn’t get her first tooth until she was a year. You will see when it’s starting to get close, the gum will swell. I use baby orajel but I honestly don’t know if it really helps. They do like the taste so that calms them for a little. Also Tylenol or ibuprofen if it’s really bad depending on the age of the baby.

My sons 2 bottom teeth started coming in a few weeks ago and he is 6 months. They are about half grown in.
