Anyone getting any sleep??

I'm on my second baby and still can't figure out how to get my 4 day old to sleep on any flat surface other  than our bed.
It took a while for my son to sleep in the bassinet, eventually he did  it but it's  stressful

For my first 4 babies, I’ve used the rock n play. I know it’s been recalled now, but it has been one of my favorite baby items. My 5th is seeming to do just fine sleeping in a crib right now, so that’s been different.
Most babies like to be swaddled at this stage. White noise is supposed to mimic the womb. 
My newborn is 10 days old now. The first week, she was very much more awake during the night and nursing vs during the day. In the last couple of days, she’s started to settle much better at night. Once they reach birthweight, they tend to do better. And then once they double their birthweight, they sleep better at night, too.

Try a heating pad in the bassinet for 15 min before putting baby in (of course take heating pad out before putting baby in), sometimes they crave warm. Maybe try a shoosh machine or white noise near crib too if you aren’t already. Good luck momma! They aren’t going to sleep much anyways but hopefully you’ll find something that works!

We’ve found that getting our baby into a deep sleep on us, and transitioning the bassinet without waking him set us up for success. It took a few goes getting used to putting him down without waking, but now it works every time!
