Is 2 to young for a twin bed?

My lo is in a converted crib into a toddler bed, it’s low to the ground. Do you think it’s to soon for a twin bed that would be higher up?

Our oldest get a twin bed right about 2 yrs old also. They really aren't that much larger than a toddler bed and I didn't see the need to spend money in a bed used for a very short time. Plus when they are scared or sick or whatever it is big enough for a parent to go cuddle them or lay in bed and sleep with them on nightmare nights.

We put our son in a twin bed when he was two. I was nervous at first, but we chose to put it on the ground to be safe. It’s been the best decision because 1- he can grow into it and 2- he has fallen out a few times and luckily it’s a short fall. Also- I love that he’s so proud to be “in a big boy bed” AND it’s big enough for me to lay with him.

Every child is different and mine hated the crib but loved my bed. My 1 year old is on a full mattress on the floor with bed rails around the bed so essentially it’s a big crib lol.

We never did the toddler bed and went straight from crib to twin bed when our son was 2. He’s 3.5 now and it’s never been an issue. He has a railing on the side.

No. But every child is different. If you are not sure, keep the mattress on the floor at first and see, if baby can seel on the mattress.

No. We switched my oldest daughter into a real twin bed right at 2. She’s never fallen out of it.

I don’t think 2 is too young. We skipped the toddler bed altogether with my daughter. We started with a twin mattress on the floor at 18 months and then put the mattress on the frame with a bumper when she was 2.5

We just moved our 22 month old to a twin but it’s on the floor in a Montessori style bed. 
We still have a rail on the side so she doesn’t roll out which has been great. But she stays in and transitioned really well!
