Newcastle, uk, nhs ivf, anyone out there?

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light. We have our appointment towards the end of next month for the consent forms, final bloods and to be shown how to administer injections etc. We’ve been told we will be on the long protocol. Just wondering if anyone has an idea when we will start with the meds after this appointment. :-) waited so long for this!

I’ve got my nurse appointment today for consent forms and protocol and they have booked me in for IVF when my period starts towards end of February x

I have PCOS and they decided to put me on antagonist protocol. I haven’t got my meds yet, I have to call them on CD 1 and they will dispense them then. Injections and baseline scan to start CD3. I’m in Sheffield, maybe everywhere is different. Let me know how you get on ✨

Thanks for your reply 😊 ah right, I havnt been given a date as to when it will start I hate the not knowing. Are you to follow the longer protocol? Did you get all your meds at that appointment yesterday or do they get sent to you? 😊

Hey hun. Do you mind me asking how long you were on the NHS waiting list for IFV? 🤍

Hi, it’s been a bit of a drawn out process for me personally as I was sent to the local hospital for the initial investigations. That was a complete waste of time as I then had to be referred on by them. Had I have known I would’ve gone to Newcastle in the first place to get the ball rolling quicker. So the tests started about a year and a half ago if not longer (covid didn’t help the situation either) but once I’ve actually got in with Newcastle I think my first appointment with them was September. 😊
