What to do when neighbors dog run up?
I am justifying this belonging in here because I feel like people that have opinions on dogs have very strong opinions on them.
So, we have a new neighbor, they are fixing up an old abounded house next to us. They are a nice family! And this house needs a TON of work. I mean, they work all day, go to this house and work all night. There dog has pooped in our yard once and my husband slipped on it 😅. Then a week later the dog ran up on us while barking when we where out with our small children. They came over apologized and assured us he was friendly and that they planned on putting up a fence. Well, today we I was out with my two little kids and they let there dog out plus 2 new dogs I didn't know about. All three of them came running at my kids barking. I quickly scooped up my kids and ran them onto our porch and yelled "COME GET YOUR DOGS."
Was I dramatic? 😆. I have never really owned a dog. I had a small one when I was very young. But he died when I was young. I like dogs! I also like big dogs! BUT, I am low key nervous about them.
Should the dogs be tied or leashed while outside? Should I go over and talk to them about getting to know there dogs 😆😆 so I'm not such a nut about them coming over? We don't live in the country country. But we are a mix of suburb/country.
What do you think? Should dogs be leashed? Should neighbors just not be a sissy about the dogs coming to say hi? Would love to know what you guys think!
