I have one son aged 3. I see the benefit now of having children close together in age but I wasn’t in the right place to have a second sooner.

Me and my partner are now engaged. I genuinely don’t think I could afford another baby alongside saving for a wedding. I advised a friend of mine to get married before having kids as I knew the stresses that came with a baby. Never mind trying to organise things WHILE being with baby. But this means there would be approx a 6 year age gap realistically. I don’t know what to do. I was hoping to start trying again this year but I also think it would just be nice to enjoy the engagement wedding process without added stresses etc. Any personal experience welcome !
