Infection following C Section
So on Friday 21/01/22 I was induced due to ongoing issues with preeclampsia & BP.Long story short-Induction failed,my cervix would not open/dilate even though my contractions were consistent with a minimum of 7 per 10 minute window.I was given an injection to slow/stop the contractions which also failed so basically I was in full blown labour with no open cervix.Baby was gettin by distressed as u can imagine & this was certainly not helpful to me or my BP.So I was given a gown & told we were off for emergency c section. It’s all quite a blur really-I remember being in theatre & having really bad contractions while they were trying to put the epidural in my spine🥺But 50/60 minutes later,we had our daughter, she was placed on my chest & honestly everything else didn’t matter. She came out screaming/poo’ing & pee’ing🥰My hubby got to take her down & feed her/dress her etc while I was being stitched & placed into recovery.I didn’t want her to b taken from me the first night so I kept her beside me even though I could not get out of bed. On checkup Saturday morning they said I’d torn a small section of left side of scar, probably lifting her from cot.Overall they were happy with everything else & I got up/showered & walked about a bit(Extremely slow).Saturday recovery was good & when Sunday came round I was slightly more painful than before-I put it down to having done too much on Saturday but by Sunday afternoon I had to call hubby, tell him to get in to look after his daughter, that I needed to rest.I was given oxynorm & lay down for a bit. This was also a fail-I cried In so much pain I just knew it couldn’t be section/scar🥺A lot of doctors/nurses & midwife’s later-I’m still not 100%,they have upped my pain relief in IV form now & started me in 3 IV antibiotics.I’m booked in for a CT Scan Of abdomen & been informed it seems to be an infection of the wounded area from theater & I may need to go back to theater to have the wound reopened😭Can anybody relate to this story or give me some advice please?Im petrified oh going back yo theater
