I have a family member who kisses my son on the lips when saying goodbye and it makes me SO uncomfortable for a number of reasons, but I have no idea how to correct it. I know the simple answer is to just say something, however I’m such a pushover and HATE awkward situation so when it happens I freeze up and don’t even know what to say. I brought it up to another family member and asked for advice and they acted like I was being over dramatic about the whole thing, made me feel like it wasn’t a big deal and just brushed it off. I’m known as the “helicopter mom” in the family and they make fun of me all the time for the parenting choices I make and talk about how overprotective I am. Maybe I am just being overprotective. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😞
