At what age would you tell your kids how baby’s come out?

My 9 1/2 year old son has been asking about it. He knows that drs get them out but recently he has been asking more 🤷‍♀️

Whenever they ask. And don’t sugarcoat it or use fake names. Real terminology. This is a great time to discuss up and coming changes he will have with puberty!

My 7 year old nephew knows babies grow in a womens uterus and is pushed out the vagina or cut out by C-section. He knows that it takes a little bit from a female and a little bit from male to make the baby grow in the uterus. 
My 3 year old nephew knows he has a penis and scrotum. He knows the part he can see on a girl is the vulva so when we ask “and girls have?” He responds “vulva!” (we save vagina for a little older as to not make it confusing as he cannot see the vagina). He know babies grow in a mommy’s tummy and we introduced the word uterus though he only understands tummy.

My mom told me when I asked around the age of 5 or 6. She sat me on her lap and said "when a man and a woman love each other he sticks his penis in her vagina..." and proceeded to draw a diagram of a uterus with the fallopian tubes and ovaries. Knowledge is power. Helps kids make good and informed choices. I will do the same with my kids.

I tell my my 4 & 2 year old that I push the baby out. I have even let them watch videos of puppies and or different animals being born. And they’ve watched birth blogs with me.

Tried to explain to my 5 year old yesterday as he thought they were cutting the baby out with a chainsaw😂.  He now thinks I will be pooping his brother out… we’ll get there.  Pooping him out is less terrifying for him than the other option.  He thought I was going to die when they cut me open.

My sons asked me, theyre 9 and 8 now but they asked awhile ago, I said theres a hole that women and girls have that boys and men do not, it is near the butt, called the vagina, when it is time for the baby to come out it stretches big enough for baby to come out and then afterwards gets small again. If for some reason theres an issue, the drs can also do surgery to get baby out" (their sisters were c sections). They said"oh" and that was it.

My 3.5 year old daughter asked this the other day, and I just told her the truth. Used real names for things and just explained it in a simple age-appropriate way. The way I look at it, it isn’t inappropriate, just a natural part of life. Although I was prepared for it, thankfully there were no questions about how the baby got there yet, lol. 😅

You should start using the proper terminology for body parts and all of that stuff as soon as they're able to hear the words. I told my daughter at 5:00 when I had my baby. If your kids asking tell them don't sugarcoat it don't try to turn it into a kid view type of thing just tell them flat out what happens. People who sugar coat it or wait until their children are older age are how we end up with naive children who turn into naive adolescence and young adults who have no clue how anything works .

I've taught them already they are 4 and 5  I am expecting and I'm not about to bs them about how the process works I am a fan of sceince and teaching sceince as it is from the start so I teach them everything their is to know about the human body how it works etc. I draw the line by sex and how the baby got in that's where I tell them god and leave it at that😁 when they are old enough to start asking me questions about sex we will then have that discussion.
