Engagement Ring question

I’ve been married for 10 years and I unfortunately dislike my engagement ring very much. My husband made my mother in law choose which I dearly love but her taste is just completely different than mine. She didn’t know me well enough to know what I like. My husband is totally not into any of that and asked for her to help. So now my question, can I buy a new ring? My hubby is totally ok with it. There is no way I could modify my old ring as there is just too much going on on that ring lol. I want it super simple with one diamond. I asked and nobody feels hurt and they encouraged me to get exactly what I wanted and keep my old ring in my jewelry box. I don’t want to sound greedy or ungrateful but I just have a certain taste :/ thoughts?
