bleeding a week before period (help)

Hi everyone!

I’ve been on yaz for quite some time and the past two months i’ve been getting a good amount of brown discharge a week before my actual period. (the last month i had covid and thought it was my body doing weird things) does this mean the pill isn’t working anymore?? is it normal???
