How long you meed to wait for your c section confirmation letter in UK?

My C section has been requested by my OB bit he said you need to wait for another department to confirm the date and they will send you a letter. Do you know how long it will take for them to send a confirmation letter?

It truly depends on the hospital system.
My sil had an appointment booked then there, because the doctor taking care of her was the same one working on the same hospital and also doing a csection. She was not under midwife but a doctor because of complications in her pregnancy. I don't know how it works trough a midwife.
