We went on a vacation recently and it kind of messed my older kids schedules up. Since we got home they fighting their nap and end up staying awake all day long and by evening I got 2 super tired and grumpy kids along with the baby to see to. Today I did things a little differently, spent some time with them doing some quiet play, winding down a bit before nap time. It worked out great and they went to bed with no problems. 10 mins later who comes along but my mil. Now kids are out of bed, playing with grandma and I'm super pissed 😠

This actually happens pretty often, she and my fil often rock up at almost nap time and then the kids miss their nap. And they see my kids all the time so it's not like their only chance to see them. I've repeatedly told my husband to ask them to come at certain times but no, he doesn't want to offend mommy and daddy. And heaven forbid I say anything. Ok, rant over
