Hi, my provider did not offer me a NT scan, so I asked for one and found out it’s only being offered through this provider at another city about 1.5 hrs away.

Last year I was with Mayo Clinic and have cignas open access plan and both are in network so I called them and they offer the scan in my city. They said I can ask my provider to send an order.

My question is this, is this just a waste of money and time? Am I going to get screwed jumping providers? I don’t fully understand insurance as I used to be Canadian. The scan is important to me.
