Gaslighting by boss vent
Backstory: I gave birth almost 3 months ago a little over a month postpartum I started getting these terrible stomach pains which I dismissed as after pains because this is my first and I didn’t know still don’t what to expect. The pain usually would happen after eating dinner. It would feel like my stomach was being pinched then would be twisted almost like tiedying a shirt. It happens on random days can go weeks without it happening. The pain starts up right under my breast in the middle of my stomach then makes it’s way to my back on the top right side. The pain leaves me completely immobile and breathless. Shifting every 2 seconds trying to get comfortable because nothing makes it better. I’ve had to stop mid shower and lay on the tub and have had to let my baby cry because I was in so much pain I was physically unable to pick her up. I’m military, reached out to medical last month explained to them what was going on, dr said she thinks it’s my gallbladder waiting to get an ultrasound. Today my first sergeant, someone who helps the commander and gives advice for and to the enlisted, came up to me and started saying that my body is just going back in place and that it’s normal. Idk about you but I don’t think having to literally stop what I am doing because of the pain is a normal thing. I kept telling him how bad it gets and he kept mansplaining it’s likely nothing. Mind you he’s not even a dr. He was being very condescending and he was making it seem like I just wanted to get out of work. Not to mention he came up to me while I was talking with som and continued to talk about my health in front of that person. All I could say to him was yes thank you sir for the “advice” he gave and smile, he’s a higher ranking person and I’m only a low ranking
