My baby won’t take bottles
So my baby is almost 4 months old and is exclusively breastfed, I’ve been pumping and trying to get her to take a bottle since she was 1 month old and she just will not take one. I tried 5 different bottles/brands, and the last ones I got were specifically for breastfed babies and mimic the nipple but she still refuses to drink. She will cry and gag and spit any milk out that gets in her mouth. I’m starting to think that maybe she’s just not a big fan of frozen/defrosted milk? I don’t know if that’s a common thing or if defrosted breastmilk can taste differently than directly from the breast but I haven’t been out really since the summer and I want to have at least one day (my boyfriends bday in march) to go out and have fun but I can’t leave her with anyone because she won’t drink from a bottle. In retrospect maybe I should’ve been pumping and going from breast to bottle from the beginning but I was having a major engorgement and clogged ducts issue so I didn’t get to pump. At this point I’m thinking of giving up and just ebf until it’s time to wean her but it’s draining, especially since she eats so often during the day. Anyone have any tips? Things I should try or do differently? Or should I just let it be and forget about bottles altogether?
