If someone were to commit a crime against you would you press charges on them? For example I’ve heard of things such as when people rob people for money or items then later sell those items and the reason behind of why that crime was committed is because the person was having a hard time paying their bills, for their family or for their child would you still press charges or no? What about it it was a violent crime such as rape or attempted murder was committed? People who have had a crime committed against them may sometimes be afraid to speak up about what has happened or wouldn’t press charges because they don’t want to see the perpetrator in the court room out of fear about talking about what happened or the trauma do to what has happened.
