How do you know you’re done ovulating?

I may be asking a dumb question but really how do we know when we’re done ovulating? 
I may have noticed when I stoped ovulation because after my last period was done, I had clear stretchy and kinda sticky discharge and a couple days later I had white thick discharge. Can the white thick discharge be fertile?

The only way to confirm it is through temping (or an ultrasound). But a change in CM can indicate the window had closed, and usually that means ovulation happened.

Best way to know is temping your cycle to confirm ovulation. If you track your cycle with opks to let you know when your about to ovulate and temp to confirm ovulation you will know when you ovulated, dpo, luteal phase length (is from the day after ovulation to period which stays the same each cycle give or take 1-2 days. Average length is 12-14 days give or take 1-2 days.) when period is coming by temp drop or if you miss your period and your temp stays up then there is a chance for pregnancy
