Looking for some advice
So after 1 year trying we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We are now on month 14. We did our first iui in December that was unsuccessful but during the tww my mom was in an awful accident and was in a coma - I’ll spare the details but the point is my stress level was off the charts … so I think it would be unfair to say the stress during those weeks didn’t in any way impact things. I actually didn’t even ovulate the following cycle / period was 4 days early due to the stress . Which has never happened im always regular. Anyways ….
So we had an appointment with a fertility clinic next week for a second opinion .. I had to cancel it because I caught Covid . So it was re scheduled until end of March.
My question is this- I’ll have 2 cycles before that appointment… my regular gyno has prescribed me clomid and is willing to try an iui again… however with her iui it’s just based off an OPK there is no trigger or follicle scans so it feels less accurate. Our insurance pays for 4 iui but we aren’t too worried about having to pay out of pocket I would just hate to try two more times before the clinic appointment then the clinic not want to try an iui at all?? Should we just go forward and do two medicated cycles with timed intercourse or try an IUI with my gyno?
I will add I have recently invested in a MIRA so my tracking will hopefully be more accurate . Thanks in advanced I know this was a novel !
