BP was dangerously high so I was sent right over to the hospital to be monitored. Once there I was hooked up to the NST machine, BP and temp taken and dr decides baby is better off out than in at this point. I was beyond excited to finally meet my rainbow boy. I then came to realize I am having an emergency c section and don’t know what to expect. My anxiety kicked in big time. I was terrified & shaking. I got the spinal which made me shake and cry because I was just a ball of nerves! Once I got the spinal I was laid back, given medication to calm me and hooked up the the ekg because my Heart rate. They put up the blue cloth and finally Allowed my husband in. The whole time all I could think was what if somethings wrong with the baby? What if I don’t make it off the table? ( and I had no reason to even think that!) just everything that one could think of negatively, I thought of. They started cutting before even telling me which I think helped me. It only took about 15 minutes from the sheet going up to the baby being born! I then had my tubes Fully removed so was in there for a bit longer but only about 1 Hour in total.
