My Son Acting Up in School. HELP!
Hey guys I have a 5 year old boy who is in kindergarten. I'm having a hard time keeping him out of trouble in school. I will get calls, messages, and notes sent home to me about his behavior sometimes as much as 3 times a week. This week has been one of those worse weeks where I've had his teacher talk to me 3 times this week. His father and I have tried so much for discipline (taking away his game, making him do extra worksheets, timeouts, spanking him, etc.) Nothing seems to work. I am told he talks excessively, plays during his lessons, doesn't listen to his teacher, and doesn't keep his hands to himself. He's never been the one to behave badly, so I'm wondering what's up with him. When I ask him what's wrong or why he acts up, he just says "I don't know" every time. I realize I just had a new baby a couple months ago, so that could be a reason why he's been acting up. If anyone has any advice on what I can do to get him to behave better in school and do his work in class, that would be greatly appreciated. He's really been giving his teacher a hard time since probably October.
