Confused about weeks

I had my first appointment today and ultrasound. As of today I am 12 weeks. When I was in the ultrasound room it was saying 11 weeks. I asked why that could be and the guy that was doing it said I don’t know. He wasn’t helpful at all and felt rushed the entire time.
