Removing Mirena IUD

Hello!!

Today I am having my Mirena IUD removed. I’ve been on birth control for 7 years now and I feel like I need a break. How painful is the procedure?? Are there any symptoms I should be aware of after having it taken off?? I would love to hear from anyone that has gone through this.
