It bothers me when people ask if my hair is mine
Hi all,
So over the years, I’ve had friends, fam and even strangers come up to me and ask me if my hair is mine. I find it incredibly rude and nosey and slightly offensive as if to say Black women cannot grow long hair. It comes to my mid back so it’s not like it’s overly long. I’m a very non confrontational person, so I just tell them it is even though I don’t want to disclose at all. How can kindly decline to respond without being rude?
