Does circumcision cause baby to have issues feeding?

Question

My son was born around 1:30am on the 26th. I'm still in the hospital (due to be discharged today - the 29th). He was feeding great for the first day until he got his circumcision on the 27th. Then he started pushing me away and unlatching, etc. 
I just feel like I failed him as a mother. My husband feels like he failed him as a father.

Yes, circumcision can cause pain and fussing. There's nothing you can do to reverse the circumcision though, so keep offering the breast and the pain will subside in time.

My daughter did this on day 3. I think it was because my milk was changing/coming in. She was super fussy, unlatching and pushing me away. Basically she just screamed for what seemed like hours. You didn’t fail your son. Your husband didn’t fail your son. Just keep offering your breasts, swaddle, cuddle, and give yourself a ton of grace. Day 3 is hard anyway because emotions and hormones hit hard that day postpartum.

No not necessarily, babies just get fussy after the first 24-48 hrs when they wake up more. You are doing  great, don't beat yourself up. We didn't having feeding issues after the circumcision, or any other issues, but every person can respond differently to any procedure. 
My daughter in contrast, got extremely upset after 24 hours, pushing the breast away. It was because I had no milk or colostrum.comin in, save 1-2mls. So I had to switch to toping up with formula, then eventually completely formula. I know it feels like.were failing at every corner, but we all need to be kinder to ourselves and keep doing our best ❤

No both of my son's have done that with feeding afterwards. It's like they were both just not hungry and wanted to sleep. I would just offer like normal every so often, it will get back to what it was

My baby girl is doing this today at 3/4 days as well. I’m sorry you’re going through it. Your post brought me a bit of comfort tho because I assumed she didn’t like how my milk tasted :/
