First time mom birth experience

Chelsea

I am almost 1 1/2 weeks pp and felt the need to vent about my terrible birthing experience for a second.

At 37w4days my boyfriend tested positive for covid turns out the plumber we had working on our plumbing has covid and it got passed onto my boyfriend I tested negative but still felt terrible (cold chills throwing up headache tiredness) I woke up one morning with 100.4 temp and it wasn’t going down my dr told me to go to labor and delivery. They tested me for covid and I did test positive with a high heart rate and 150/100 blood pressure so they admitted me for an induction which made me nervous because I know inductions usually lead to csections. Which I DID NOT WANT. Mainly because I never had any surgery so the though terrified me. Once admitted and induced I was having back to back contractions which were terribly painful from 10:30 pm to 6 am. Keep in mind they took the cervidil (dk if I’m spelling that right) out at 5 am because baby didn’t like it, it was causing her heart rate problems. Once the contractions wouldn’t stop they sent me down to prepare for c section also forgot to add the whole 5+ hours I was throwing up due to pain and nerves. After my c section I thought everything would be over and get easier. But due to me having covid I was treated like I was going to kill everyone I came in contact with. They took baby to nicu one night after birth due to low temp and her not wanting to eat. No one ever even called to update me let alone came in my room to update. That put me through so much emotionally not knowing what was going on. I got discharged after 1 week and she remained in the nicu for 2 more days. But I couldn’t even pick her up due to covid. My mom had to go pick her up. We’re now home and she’s doing great and mom is a lot better just still hate how my first birthing experience was. If y’all made it this far Thankyou for listening 😮‍💨😂
