So I got on birth control not only to avoid pregnancy but mainly to balance my hormones. I have a lot of pain on my period and birth control was supposed to help. My doctor said I should take my first pill within the time frame my period starts so I wouldn’t have 2 periods. So I waited till my period was expected to take it. Keep in mind my periods come every month. So 3 days or so before my period was due I had sex. To keep it simple, I had sex on the 23 and 24th of this month. Period was supposed to come the 25th and normally sex starts my period. So I popped the pill on the 24th because I was expecting my period The next day. Nothing came. I’m nearing a week late. I do know that birth control takes a week to be in effect so I wasn’t protected from sex. Why else could my period be late?
