When was your 1st ultrasound?

OB policy is 10-12 weeks for first ultrasound. I'm 9 weeks now, appt is February 8th. This wait is killing me! 😭

My first was when I was 6 weeks and then. I have another when I’m 8 weeks. I have early ultrasounds do to the fact that I’ve miscarried before.

My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks to confirm due date. Thankfully it was early as I’m carrying twins and I’ve also had another one since at 9 weeks and another at 11 and 12 weeks. I find it crazy some places wait so long. Even with my son it was 6 weeks.

I had a confirmation ultrasound today at 7w5d. I have a checkup at 12 weeks and another ultrasound at 13weeks. With my first I had one at 8 weeks and one at 18 weeks.

Our OBGYN office policy is the same, they won’t see you until minimum 10 weeks. My appointment is set for 11 weeks.
I just find it so weird that they wait so long! I have a thyroid disease that you need to test your thyroid the MOMENT you get a confirmed pregnancy. If not, it can cause serious problems including miscarriage. Many don’t even know they have a thyroid issue, and could be unnecessarily suffering because Drs won’t even see them until they are almost done with their 1st trimester. 🤯

I went to a confirmation appointment, at 8 weeks. I had no idea these existed since my previous pregnancy with my daughter I did not have a “confirmation appointment” I wonder if this is new since with my daughter I didn’t see an ob until I was almost 11 weeks.

My first ultrasound isn’t until 12 weeks (per my estimation)😩 I do have a blood work and first appt with doctor when I’ll be 9 weeks.

My first was 5w2d but I have a history of 2 miscarriages and am seeing a fertility specialist. That was to confirm that it was in the uterus (the meds I took can cause ectopics sometimes) and then I go back this week at 6w3d to hopefully hear a heartbeat!! 🤞🏼❤️

My ob won’t see people before 8 weeks… but I had scheduled a consult appointment with an IVF specialist already and that doctor had me do two ultrasounds (1st was an “oops” because he thought he was going to ultrasound my ovaries and saw our 6wk embryo instead; 2nd time was “to see if it stuck” before referring me back to my OB).
Weirdly, they didn’t give me any pictures. 🥺
