Is Cocomelon bad for kids?

Many people are saying that Cocomelon is overstimulating for young children

Idk if it’s bad for kids per se, but it’s bad for me. I feel myself losing my mind when I hear that shit.

I’ll say that my 20 month old enjoys tv/movies. But normally when I turn them off, even his favorites he doesn’t get upset. 
His cousin that is 5 turned on coco melon a few days ago and I came in little while later and turned it off and my son threw a fit. It was weird because he never does that when I the the tv off. 
I’ve heard people say coco melon is like crack for kids and idk if it’s “bad” but just watching my son be in a trance by it and then get mad when I turned it off was very odd 😵‍💫

If you actually Google and look into the research behind those statements you’ll be able to form your own opinion based on your family 😊 I don’t let me daughter watch it I do believe it overstimulates. My SILs daughter was absolutely addicted and they ended up stopping it in their house. I work in early education though so i think I may be more sensitive to this topic? Either way Google and that way you can decide what works for you guys!

My kids like the music on it so it is on sometimes but they just use it as background music & sing along while they play 🤷🏼‍♀️.

My sister is in early education and isn’t a fan, but my kid watched it when he was little and I thought it was ok. I guess everything in moderation.

It's over estimulating for my 12 month. So no. No TV for him. I'd rather distract him with a toy, nature or even a snack if I need 20 mins to myself.

My 18 month old LOVES cocomelon, and yes, I have seen a shift in her attitude since she started watching it, so I limit it. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad for kids, but I do think that too much of it can be overstimulating, much like any kids show, really. At least that’s what I have experienced.
