Husband’s FSH levels?

Sorry I am posting again. I’m overthinking a lot because my husband has a sperm extraction procedure next week to see if he’s producing any. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the FSH level of 8.8? Our doctor said it’s slightly high, so was wondering if anyone else’s hubby’s had similar FSH levels?

FSH in men works in similar fashion as the FSH in women but it is not cyclic in nature. Its level is pretty stable during the entire month as men produce and mature sperm every day of the month. It stimulates the testicles to mature the sperm. Men have same hormones as women but in different ratios and theirs as not cyclic in nature and changing in accordance to follicular and lutheal phase.

Isn’t fsh follicle stimulating hormone and only in women? I didn’t know that was a test for men, too.
