Impacted stool

This happened to me yesterday. I wasn’t feeling unusually constipated - maybe a little I am 24 weeks pregnant. But anyway I went to poop and it was so big and hard that it got stuck in my butthole. Like my butthole was open really wide, and the big hard poop was inside like an inch and wouldn’t come out. It was so uncomfortable! I felt like I was in labor - heavy breathing, pushing. I couldn’t push it out. I ended up using my finger to break it apart. It took probably 20+ minutes to get it all out. So now of course I have awful hemorrhoids, swelling is down a lot today compared to yesterday.

Im wondering if anybody else has ever been this badly constipated? How common is this?
