Should I get my man a kitten??

Ooookay so I’ve been talking to this guy for months now and it’s long distance but he told me next time I see him he’s got a really important question for me but he wants to wait until we’re in person again. I know he’s going to ask me to make it official, we’ve talked about it before and he said he wanted to wait until after Christmas to avoid any stress for that time of year regarding anniversaries and stuff.

I’m going to see him next weekend (for Valentine’s Day) and I was thinking about bringing him a kitten and putting something cute on the name tag because I kinda want to beat him to the punch lol.

He has been saying he wants a kitten for as long as we’ve been talking. He has a cat here at his dad’s house that he misses a lot, but his dad also lives alone and doesn’t want to part with the cat.

So… a friend of mine has some kittens that are going to be ready for homes just in time! I will of course pay for all the supplies, and first vet trip before I bring it to him. I also have a carrier for him to keep already, as I no longer need it.

I’ve done my research and his apartment is cat friendly. And if for whatever reason he doesn’t want to or can’t keep the cat at his house, I can at mine.

It’s a 4 hour drive, and I’m nervous about driving all that way with a kitty, do y’all think it’s cruel? It’s no different than flying with an animal.

I just really want to do something special and show him that I care and pay attention when he says he’s lonely being alone all the time and that he really wants something. I don’t want to ruin the surprise by asking him ahead of time.

Also, I think everyone loves surprises like this and I’m really hoping I’m right about this. So.. thoughts??
