Is it tacky to throw your own sprinkle?

My husband and I don't live near our families, and we have hardly any friends where we live because of moving here during the middle of the pandemic. This is our second child, but our first daughter. So would it be tacky if I threw a sprinkle for myself so that maybe so coworkers and a few others would show up? I just don't have anyone I'm close enough with that I think would throw me one.

I don’t think it’s tacky at all! I’m actually throwing a brunch w just women w some fun game, raffles and just conversations. I’m hosting a breakfast at our house and the guys are probably going shooting or golfing.

Of course not. I'll be throwing myself a sprinkle. We didn't get to have a baby shower with my first because of lock down. We don't really need anything and won't have any sort of registry although there's nothing wrong with that. I'll just be for fun to have a get together.
