I went in for a checkup before scheduling my surgery to remove my wisdom teeth and the hygienist told me that if I'm prescribed an antibiotic after the surgery she recommends using a backup for protection since some antibiotics effect BC effectiveness😖 What made me nervous was that I WAS on an antibiotic a few weeks ago😫 and I didn't use a backup bc I wasn't aware about BC being affected by antibiotics. I know metronidazole doesn't necessarily affect BC, but I'm still sorta nervous and will take a test just to see a negative result🤞🏽 I know some ladies have had their pill fail bc of an antibiotic.

What antibiotic were you ladies on that affected your BC?
