Prenatal vitamins?!?

My dr wrote me a prescription for a prenatal vitamin with dha of my choice.  The only choice at our local pharmacies will be $50+ every month.  Is anyone taking an over-the-counter vitamin?  If so, which one are you taking?  I just can't see spending $400~ on vitamins over the course of my pregnancy when it seems like the OTC vitamins contain the same ingredients!!!!!

I'm taking vita fusion gummies. My doc said everyone gets all worked up over then but as long as you're getting 400 MCG of folic acid and eating a balanced diet there's no reason to spring for expensive ones.

I'm taking the Rainbow Light ones as my dr recommended taking one with iodine in it to help with the brain formations. I'm 4w2days and started taking this before I got pregnant. Oh this is my rainbow baby as well.

I currently take gummy vitamins I found at Walmart,  however the nurse at my dr. Office told me to also get a folic acid supplement because the otc prenatals do not have the same amount of folic acid as the prescription prenatals.

Currently take one a day prenatals. My pcp said they're fine, but going to ask obgyn during my appointment monday.

I researched what all vitamins I would need in prenatels and the one in taking has all of them minus copper. But $50/month is a little pricy in my opinion. I would shop around :)

My dad is a pharmacist & I get the best info from him! I would recommend asking your pharmacist what the best OTC option is instead of the RX. They're a great resource!!

I'm taking hyvee brand prenatal pills. I think it's a 50 count for like $8.

I found mine at walgreens. They were only like 10 to 12 dollars.
