How long were you in pain for?

I can’t remember with my first but how long were you in pain for after giving birth? I only have one stitch but I’m in agony. I’m assuming from sitting all the time breastfeeding, I hardly ever lay down. It feels like my back and tailbone are broken, my legs are so sore and just all down there stings and hurts and feels like it was ripped in half 😭 how long does this last??

Week 1 was pretty bad, I had to take opiates occasionally cause I just couldn’t sleep at all and i was in so much pain all the time. By week 2 I was able to walk without feeling faint, and I didn’t have to take pain meds to get thru the days. By week 3 I felt myself again, still a bit sore down there when I wiped and pooped but for the most part better. I gave birth to a 10 lb 5 oz baby, and had a second degree tear

I had a 2nd degree tear and By 2-3 weeks pain virtually gone, I used the dermaplast spray, witch hazel, ibprofen and sitz baths. I did opiates the first week though, otherwise felt pretty faint from the pain. I also did a lot of side lying to nurse and sitting on either hip to avoid sitting on my butt.

We’re you in labor a long time? Did you have meds? An epidural?
I noticed with longer labor and meds/epidural my recovery was more painful and longer compared to my natural births

Couple of weeks but that was only because I hurt myself during labor (typical) try nursing reclined with baby on you or laying on your side, this really helped me :)

I was so swollen for so long 🙈
I didn't hurt down there as such, but I was swollen and it was very unpleasant. Sitting down the first few weeks was not nice 😅
It got slowly better, but the last thing to dissappear was hurting in my joints. My knees didn't stop hurting until I was like 10-11 months pp.

I’m about a week postpartum and my lactation consultant recommended a donut to sit on during breastfeeding. You can make one at home with a towel rolled up in the shape of an O with tape around it to keep the shape. This helps with the tailbone and perineum pain when sitting to breastfeed. It’s really helped me!

A first 3 days were terrible and I barely moved, the first two weeks I was hurting but Ok to walk around the house, and by two weeks I was relatively normal but would be tired and in pain if I overdid anything. Still took it easy, but was able to go to the store or do chores. It took a full 12 weeks to feel totally normal and able to do all the normal activities I was doing before (light workouts/walks/sex, etc)

I seem to be rather lucky when it comes to pain with my first i had a 2nd degree tear I had pain for about 3 days but it was manageable and then it went away with my second another 2nd degree tear  I had no pain what so ever even carried my little boy out to the car 5 hours after having him and was fine with my third another 3rd degree tear I had after pains for about 5 mins after he was born and then nothing its as if I hadn't just given birth
