Body hair during pregnancy

I’m 25 weeks today with my healthy little boy and cannot be more excited. But something concerning has been going on and I’m honestly a bit afraid to ask my midwife about it. I’ve always been a fairly hairy woman, I have dark brown hair thick brows and I’ve always had to shave my legs every day, even then they would be prickly by the end of the day.

But during pregnancy, my leg hair has basically stopped growing, which at first I thought was awesome! My hair on my head is thick and great, my skin looks great and now no leg hair!

BUT! My pubic hair has gone into total overdrive, and it’s creating a happy trail up to my belly button, with stragglers even above my belly button. And these are DARK THICK HAIRS. Like a legit happy trail, that grows back really quick. I’ve always had blonde peach fuzz on my belly and back, but this is dark pubic hair that is working it’s way up. I’ve tried to just pluck it but it’s too much, I really don’t want to shave and have it grow back, but I also live at the beach and I’m embarrassed by it. Growing it out to wax is an option but I don’t want to have to wax my belly the rest of my life. I also am getting nipple hair, which I can pluck, but it’s like 8-10 on each side. Not as worried about that. But I’m legitimately distraught by the stomach hair that seems to be working it’s way up.
