My son had pyloric stenosis and after his pyloromyotmy( at a month old) the GI specialists, nutritionist, and his ped recommended adding cereal to his bottles. They said it would help him hold his bottle down ( he was very refluxy) and gain weight. We stopped at around 7 months since his reflux resolved itself. So long story short, ask your child’s ped.

You don’t need to add anything to their formula/milk unless their doctor says too. New studies have recommended to not give babies anything besides formula/milk until 6 months, even old recommendations is still 4 months. It can hurt their digestive systems.

Fresh boobie milk only until 9 months . Then I started expressing and adding baby oatmeal only rice one isnt healthy then started solids at  a year. For all 3 of my kids. And will do the same with my 4th
