Just gave birth and considering getting the patch?

I used to take the pills in high school but would forget to take them so the patch seems like a better option for me. Anyone have experience with the patch?

Since 2014 I’ve been on birth control. Started off with the pills in high school and recently within the last 2 years I’ve switched from the pills to the patch. 
I like it but the one risk you have to take is blood clots. You are at risk for blood clots and even a bigger risk if you smoke. 
I actually just switched my female doctor and the new Dr told me that if I continue to smoke she will not prescribe me birth control. 
Just make sure you change your patch on your patch days, & every week you switch your patch location. Be mindful of sensitive areas like your lower stomach area b/c I have put a patch there and from the adhesive when taking it off it bruised that area. 
Everyone is different but I also noticed with the pill I didn’t cramp much but when I switched, my period cramps were very much there & still are but not as bad.
