What are things to put on my baby registry

What are things that you think are a need on a baby registry I'm having a hard time thinking of things to put on it.

Most registries will have a checklist to give you a good idea of the things to include. Not every item is necessary for each family but it’s at least a good guideline

I used lucieslist.com in trying to figure it out for my first. They do a good job of breaking down all the options and what you need vs just nice to have.
I will say there were a lot of things I got that I didn’t need. And later learned were actually detrimental to development. Things like a swing, a jumper (basically something they jump in while contained, apparently a major no no from pediatric physical therapists), and a walker (banned in many countries). So skip those lol. 
The single best investment you can make is the play gym. The thing that they lay on the floor and look up at. Floor time is the best thing for a baby!

Car seat, bassinet, crib plus all bedding (sheets, mattress protectors), sleeper things like swaddles, magic Merlin sleep suit, sleep sac, high chair, bottles, plates, forks, spoons, bowls, cups, snack cups, bibs, bottles, pump stuff if you plan on breastfeeding, boppy pillow, burp cloths, diapers and wipes, diaper pail, changing table, bathtub and toiletries (soap, lotion, nail clippers, brush) thermometer, snot sucker, toys, bouncy seat, swing, play yard, play mat, stroller, diaper bag, clothes (onesies, jammies, shirts, pants, socks, hats all in various sizes)
