First ultrasound - when???

I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I went to the hospital and they confirmed it . Yesterday I was 5 weeks . Hospital scheduled my first appointment for March 24, when I’ll be 11-12 weeks. Is that too late for a first appointment? I have all the worst scenarios playing in my head 😔

You would usually get an ultrasound around that time unless you have a history of miscarriages.

I had my first scan at 8 weeks ! & then my second scan is 12 weeks for genetic testing for the first trimester ! You can always schedule a private scan if you’d like to be seen sooner! I wouldn’t recommend any time before 8 weeks though

My first appointment will be at 11 weeks too. I was worried that it was a long time to wait before a first appointment but from what I’ve been told, it’s normal and nothing to worry about.

That’s when my first ultrasound was scheduled for. They actually said 12-14w but I got it at 12w
